As part of their International Outreach Program, nine members visited the UN. After a lunch in the Delegates Dining Room, they toured the headquarters learning about ongoing peacekeeping & humanitarian programs.
In November, the members of the Woman’s Club of Old Tappan prepared wrapped grab bag gifts, and put them in Christmas stockings or gift bags for 17 clients at the Northern Valley Adult Day Health Care Center in Dumont, NJ. They are usually distributed at our annual December holiday party where our members help the clients make Christmas tree ornaments. Then we usually play games where the clients win these gifts and our members finally lead everyone in a Christmas Carol sing-a-long while watching a DVD (with the words) made by the husband of one our members. The clients are always very appreciative of their gifts and the party. Unfortunately this year, because of social distancing due to Covid-19, we will only be able to drop off the gifts and not be able to interact with the clients. However, we look forward to being able to share in the festivities next year.
